Kelly Clarkson kicked off the week with some sweet nostalgia on Monday (March 29), performing an effortless cover of TLC’s “Diggin’ On You” for The Kelly Clarkson Show audience.
Backed by her band Y’all, Clarkson took to a yellow and purple-lit stage, and proceeded to hit every note of the 1995 b-side from TLC’s CrazySexyCool album.
“I was like peace in a groove/ On a Sunday afternoon/ You were there, so was I/ In the park, 4th of July,” she crooned, “I was chillin’ with my Kool-Aid/ When Miss Chilli came to relay/ That you had a thing for me/ Finest thing you’d ever seen.”
Over the course of her career, Clarkson has also taken on TLC’s “No Scrubs,” “Unpretty” and “Waterfalls.”
