Sorry to all the Jonas Brothers fans who expected to read Blood: A Memoir By The Jonas Brothers for their fall book club, because the group just pushed back the book’s release date again.
“It’s important to us that our memoir ‘BLOOD’ is perfect and that we share it when the time is right. Because of that, we’re taking some extra time to write our story,” the JoBros wrote on Twitter yesterday (July 6). “We’ll update everyone shortly once we have more info.”
Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas projected themselves back into mainstream pop music last year with their surprise reunion, which led to a No. 1 Hot 100 song, a No. 1 Billboard 200 album, their biggest tour ever and two documentaries. But the Jonas Brothers announced on May 28, 2019 that Blood would hit bookshelves on Nov. 12 after they signed a deal with Macmillan and wrote the memoir with Neil Strauss, who also co-penned Mötley Crüe’s memoir The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band in 2001.
On Feb. 6, 2020, the JoBros announced they rescheduled the release of Blood for Oct. 20, but that date is no longer being honored and it remains unclear when their fans can finally get their hands on it. According to the book’s official website, Blood “details the incredible true story of the Jonas Brothers, from the band’s creation, phenomenal rise to superstardom, break up at the height of their fame, and now reunification. Written with Neil Strauss, coauthor of The Dirt, and told in their own words, this is a totally unfiltered memoir about three brothers who learn that blood is thicker than fame.”
