If you thought the music video for Zedd and Elley Duhé’s “Happy Now” was a big twist, wait until you hear the official remix package. Five artists gave the sweet pop melody a big makeover, each with a decidedly different flavor profile.
It starts with a trapped-out take from Marc Benjamin that soon turns into a serious demonstration of bass bounce. BEAUZ makes light of the track with some toy-like sonic samples. Duke & Jones turn the lights low and let Duhé’s vocals take center stage, before a big build brings things to a wonderfully-weird rumble. MXXWLL makes things real synth and sexy with his delightfully-warbled remix, while Magnificence finishes the package with a wild and wonky electro-house break down.
