Why Don’t We will be bringing their latest album The Good Times and the Bad Ones to the online gaming platform Roblox March 5-7.

Why Don’t We will perform their most popular songs in an exclusive live show and host a Q&A for the Metaverse community. Beforehand, fans can shop limited edition virtual merch, including digital avatars for all five band members Daniel Seavey, Corbyn Besson, Jonah Marais, Jack Avery, and Zach Herron, play mini games and complete quests.

“Having spent so many hours on Roblox, it’s awesome that we get to connect with our fans in this community we know so well,” Herron said in a statement. “While we’ve missed being on tour and interacting with our fans all over the world, being able to connect in this way is bringing fandom to a whole new level. Literally anyone can join the party, no matter where they are, so we’re excited to see everyone this weekend on Roblox.”

20 Questions With Why Don’t We: The Group on Obsessing Over The Beatles & New Album ‘The Good Times and The Bad Ones’

Roblox developer Melon Dec partnered with Atlantic Records to celebrate the release of the group’s sophomore album, which earned them their first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart in February. Atlantic Records also helped pop star Ava Max host a Launch Party for her debut studio album Heaven & Hell on the platform in September.

“Ultimately our goal is to champion the artists, and Roblox helps us do that by giving them an opportunity to connect with fans and promote their music in new ways,” added Paul Sinclair, general manager and executive vice president of Atlantic Records. “Why Don’t We are crazy talented, and we want to get their music heard by as many fans as possible. With their huge online/social media presence and Roblox’s popularity among their key audience, this partnership is a no-brainer.”

The Good Times also debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 for the quintet’s highest charting effort on the tally, but their longtime manager Randy Phillips and Artist Group International founder and chairman Dennis Arfa said the good times for Why Don’t We, which Phillips considers as “an arena or stadium act of the future,” won’t be happening on the road anytime soon.

“The worst thing for a tour like Why Don’t We is uncertainty,” Phillips told Billboard. “If the fans aren’t sure about the future, or their parents are still out of their jobs, you can’t go out on the road in that environment. It simply won’t work.”

Why Don’t We’s Launch Party will take place on Roblox on Friday, March 5 at 7 p.m. ET. Three additional performances are scheduled throughout the weekend on Saturday, March 6 at 4 p.m., and again on Sunday, March 7, at 12 a.m. ET and noon ET.
