This one’s for the homebodies! Why Don’t We teamed up with Macklemore to drop the video for their surprise collaboration “I Don’t Belong In This Club” on Wednesday (March 20).

In the visual, the boy band hilariously sends up everything terrible about a night out on the town — from line skippers and entry fees to social anxiety and DJs playing all the same songs. By the time Macklemore rolls up for the second verse, the club turns into a ’70s disco, complete with bell bottoms, servers on roller skates and a soul train.

“Shoulda stayed on the sofa/Forgot I hate being social/And I miss my ex-girl/This Drake song makin’ me ‘motional/I’m feelin’ awkward as hell/I only came here to dance/The DJ ain’t playin’ the cuts/And what do I do with my hands?” Macklemore raps before the fivesome takes over on the booming chorus, voicing the internal monologue of anyone who’s ever felt out of place in the forced merriment of nightlife culture.

The anti-party anthem is the boyband’s third release of 2019, and follows their latest Top 40 single, “8 Letters.” Meanwhile, Macklemore is gearing up for a special performance at the 2019 MusiCares Concert For Recovery, where he’ll be honored for his activism in helping others in the process of addiction recovery.
