U.K. singer-songwriter Rhodes unveiled his quarantine rendition of Taylor Swift‘s “Lover” on Sunday (May 3), and even got the stamp of approval from the superstar herself.
“Oh I love this so much,” Swift tweeted in response to the cover, which features the indie star on acoustic guitar, accompanied by fellow musician She Moves on harmonica. Upon seeing the reply from the superstar, Rhodes couldn’t help but share his excitement, retweeting her reaction and writing, “Oh wow thank you soooo much…I’m really glad you do” alongside a rose and smiley face emoji.
The Baldock, Hertfordshire native has been sharing a plethora of daily covers while self-isolating amid the coronavirus pandemic, tackling the likes of Billie Eilish (“Everything I Wanted”), Selena Gomez (“Lose You To Love Me”), Coldplay (“Fix You”) and the late Bill Withers (“Ain’t No Sunshine”) in recent weeks.
