Dove Cameron lends Kacey Musgraves’ “Slow Burn” an original twist in a cover video she released Wednesday (Sept. 4) on YouTube. “I love this song by Kacey Musgraves so much I wanted to try my own version,” she wrote on her channel. ” Hope you like it.”
“Slow Burn” is the first track on Golden Hour, Musgraves’ 2018 album that peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, and slowly burned for 53 weeks on the chart, and took home the top Grammy for album of the year.
In the video, the Descendants star looks off into the distance, surrounded by cherry blossoms and trees blowing in the breeze. She and her guitarist sit together, with vintage-style B-roll zooming in on him plucking the strings and her fiddling with her rings.
