In an ongoing tribute to the hard-working health care professionals who are toiling to keep us all safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, Jimmy Kimmel brought in a ringer on Thursday night (May 15) to brighten one nurse’s day. Connecticut wellness nurse Samantha Brown works at an assisted living facility and she told Kimmel that she and her team love the residents and spend all day trying to keep their spirits up by connecting them virtually with their families during this lockdown.
Kimmel said the show found Brown through Adobe’s #honorheroes tag spotlighting artwork depicting health care workers, and after poking around in her profile and learning that she’s a big Maroon 5 fan, so they had singer Adam Levine drop by. “You’re amazing, by the way, we love you,” Levine told Brown.
While mother of two Brown would not share any Levine-related fantasies, she did tell the singer that she misses seeing him on The Voice, which got Adam to admit that he kind of misses his old pal Blake Shelton. “As much as I really don’t like to admit it, I miss him very much,” he said. To make her night even better, they gave her a $10,000 gift card, as well as gift cards for food delivery for all the nurses Brown works with.
