Mariah Carey, the undisputed queen of Christmas, is inviting cocktail enthusiasts to immerse themselves in her festive holiday wonderland at a special New York City bar, called Mariah Carey’s Black Irish Holiday Bar. NJ Family reports that Virgin Hotels, Black Irish by Mariah Carey, and Bucket Listers have teamed up to launch this seasonal experience, featuring a holiday photo window display with a custom “All I Want For Christmas Is You” neon sign, a festive wreath you can sit on, and even a chance to recreate the iconic album cover from Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special. The bar will also include a photo booth, a Black Irish Christmas tree, a “Letters to Mariah” station, a lyric wall, and a host of other surprises. The aim is to make visitors feel like they’re part of a Carey Christmas music video.
Black Irish is the Irish cream liqueur founded by Mariah Carey in 2021, and it’s a perfect fit for the holiday season, with flavors like original, salted caramel, and white chocolate. The signature cocktail at the bar will be served with a candy cane rim.
Other drinks on offer include: the Martini Flight, which features a White Chocolate Martini made with Black Irish White Chocolate Irish Cream and topped with cotton candy and glitter; a Reposado Tequila Espresso Martini with Black Irish Irish Cream garnished with a cinnamon stick; a Bourbon Martini with Salted Caramel Black Irish Irish Cream, complete with a chocolate-covered pretzel rim; and for those who prefer something warm, a Cocoa Coffee spiked with Black Irish Irish Cream, decorated with red and green glitter sprinkles and edible butterflies.
James Bermingham, CEO of Virgin Hotels Collection, highlighted that this event marks the beginning of the holiday season and serves as a tribute to the 30th anniversary of Mariah Carey’s Diamond-selling holiday classic, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
The Mariah Carey’s Black Irish Holiday Bar will be open daily from November 15 to December 29 at select Virgin Hotels in Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, and New Orleans. The NYC location is at The Pool Club, Virgin Hotels New York City, 1227 Broadway, 4th Floor. Guests can reserve a 90-minute time slot from 5 to 10:30 pm Monday through Friday, and daytime slots from 12-3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Nighttime tickets are priced at $30 per person, which includes a Black Irish welcome drink, while brunch tickets are $65 per person and include a welcome drink and an entrée. Entry is restricted to those 21 and older.
