Twenty One Pilots got back to work on Tuesday night (Jan. 22) with the surprise release of their video for the bouncy bop “Chlorine.” The visual, which came out a day earlier than anticipated, finds singer Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun taking on gigs as swimming pool technicians who get a visit from an adorable little alien pal named Ned during their rounds.
he couldn't wait until tomorrow.

Leaving behind for a moment the complex storyline of the first trilogy of videos from the Trench album, the “Chlorine” clip finds the duo filling up a suburban swimming pool while getting spied on by Ned, a tiny white gremlin with a pot belly, horns, black eyes and hairy bat ears who seems interested in diving into the blue-tinged, smoking chemical brew they dump into the pool. As the song breaks down, Ned dives in, happily swimming through the bubbling mixture and hanging with Joseph in the empty bowl.
The pair’s Bandito Tour will rev back up on Jan. 30 with a show at the Kiev Palace of Sports in Ukraine followed by two months of European dates before returning on May 10 for a second leg of their North American tour with a gig at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
