Troye Sivan has won awards for his music, played a young Wolverine on the big screen, amassed millions of fans on social media and enjoyed Top 5 hits in the U.S.
Now the Aussie pop artist has one of the greatest prizes of them all: his very own wax figure at Madame Tussauds.
The singer, actor and LGBTIQA+ activist reportedly spent hours working with the famed waxworks’ creative team and posed for numerous photos to develop the model, which stands at 1.73m (5’8″).
The final result is a doppelganger, sporting a donated white singlet, cuffed black shirt and trousers worn in Sivan’s “My, My, My” music video, and complemented with chestnut brown hair, a silver nose ring, black boots, a gold Cartier-style ring and an engraved silver signet ring.
Sivan’s first and only wax model was debuted to the public in Sydney soon after the release Friday (Nov. 11) of his new single “Easy,” with Kasey Musgraves featuring Mark Ronson.
Based on early feedback, the hard work paid off. “I am absolutely blown away by my wax figure at Madame Tussauds Sydney,” Sivan says. “I never thought this would happen, ever. We spent ages holding up little samples of eye colors to my eyes to make sure they were just the right color.”
Forty Sivan fans were among guests for the big reveal at Madame Tussauds Sydney’s new music zone, dubbed Sydney Live.
