Travis Kelce attended Patrick Mahomes’ charity auction on Thursday night (May 15) without Taylor Swift by his side, but her influence was clearly present — especially during a humorous moment involving a guitar signed by the pop star.
A video taken by an attendee at the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation’s Golf Classic gala in Las Vegas shows Kelce standing at his table with a bidding paddle as an auctioneer takes bids on an acoustic guitar signed by Swift. As the price increases, Kelce decides to step out of the race, joking, “I just realized I have that already.”
The comment drew laughter from the crowd, including Mahomes, who was standing nearby and cracked up along with other guests. Brittany Mahomes, co-owner of the Kansas City Current and Patrick’s wife, was seated at their table and was seen laughing and covering her face.
The 15 and the Mahomies Foundation, established by Patrick Mahomes in 2019, focuses on helping children by supporting programs that promote “health, wellness, communities in need of resources and other charitable causes,” according to the organization’s website. Last year, Kelce attended the same fundraiser with the “Fortnight” singer, even contributing four Eras Tour tickets to the auction, which brought in $80,000.
This year’s event came shortly after Kelce and Swift were seen together in Philadelphia celebrating Mother’s Day at a restaurant — one of the few recent public sightings of the couple. Since wrapping up her Eras Tour in December, the 14-time Grammy winner has mostly kept a low profile. Still, fans are speculating that she may be planning a major announcement at the 2025 American Music Awards on May 26.
In her downtime, Swift has appeared to focus on spending time with loved ones. Jason Kelce, Travis’ older brother and a recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center, shared that the singer made time to meet his and Kylie Kelce’s newborn daughter, Finnley, who was born in April.
“We were fortunate to have them all in,” Jason told Entertainment Tonight on Monday (May 12). “It doesn’t happen often — everyone’s busy — but it was really special.”
