The Jonas Brothers assure fans they’ll be home for Christmas in the first preview of their family-friendly holiday film. However, from the short trailer released on Friday (Sept. 5), Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas face a series of comical challenges if they want to “bro, bro, bro” this December.
According to the summary of A Very Jonas Christmas Movie — set to premiere worldwide on Disney+ on Nov. 14 — the trio must “face a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families.”
In the trailer, the brothers take a bow in snowy London after a sold-out show, with Kevin expressing that he hasn’t seen his children “in like a month.” Meanwhile, Nick FaceTimes his wife Priyanka Chopra, assuring he’ll be home for the holidays while she shares a “we love you” from their family. But when Randall Park (Shortcomings) questions whether they can make it to the airport without him the next day, Nick confidently replies, “We’ll be fine.” Famous last words.
The chaos then ensues as the brothers speed through the snow in a stranger’s car, rush around London, and panic when wolves surround them in the forest. “I’m sorry we never got to hear you sing Kevin!” Joe yells as the wolves close in. “I’m sure your voice is pretty okay!”
The film also features an impressive cast, including Billie Lourd (The Last Showgirl), Laverne Cox (Doubt), KJ Apa (I Still Believe), Chloe Bennett (Valley Girl), Andrew Barth Feldman (Maybe Happy Ending), Andrea Martin (Only Murders in the Building), Kenny G, and producer/songwriter Justin Tranter appearing as themselves, alongside Park and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Cocaine Bear).
The JoBros — who are also producers — play themselves in the movie directed by Oscar-winner Jessica Yu (best documentary short subject for Breathing Lessons: The Life and Work of Mark O’Brien), with some promised cameos from the wider Jonas family circle.
The brothers continue their 20th anniversary Jonas20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour, which will stop at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., on Saturday night (Sept. 6).
