Taylor Swift recently prepared sourdough bread for Selena Gomez to celebrate her relationship with Benny Blanco, with a humorous message included on the gift tag.
Blanco posted a photo on his Instagram Story on Tuesday (July 22), showing that he and Gomez — who had just turned 33 over the weekend — received the bread made by Swift. The loaf featured a floral design and was labeled with stickers in Swift’s handwriting that read, “Home-made sourdough,” “For Selena + Benny” and “‘It’s a loaf story.’”
Swift, a 14-time Grammy winner, placed her signature on a sticker at the bottom of the bread bag, which was part of a gift basket. The package also included a scented candle and two bottles.
The present arrived shortly after Gomez celebrated her birthday with Swift and Blanco, as shown in pictures shared by the Only Murders in the Building star on Instagram on Sunday (July 20). The gathering took place before her actual birthday on Tuesday. Blanco acknowledged the day by posting a series of photos of Gomez sleeping and wrote on Instagram, “our life is a dream… so i’m never waking u up… happy birthday my love.”
Though the sourdough may have held added meaning due to Swift and Gomez’s long-standing friendship, Swift is also known for giving homemade baked gifts. In 2024, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid shared that she had made Pop-Tarts (Taylor’s Version) for his team’s offensive line, and Bernie Kosar noted that she had baked cinnamon rolls for Travis Kelce ahead of an important game.
Swift’s chai sugar cookie recipe also tends to resurface online each fall.
