Taylor Swift added to the increasingly long list of thoughtful baby gifts she’s sent fellow celebs when Jesse Tyler Ferguson told Ellen that the singer sent his family a “big care package” of baby clothes for son Beckett.
Eight months after the former Modern Family star and Food Between Friends: A Cookbook author and husband Justin Mikita welcomed their son, the actor/author revealed that they’d received a box full of goodies from Swift.
“She actually sent baby clothes to us,” he said of the singer who couldn’t make it to their baby shower. “She sent a big care package and it’s the nicest baby clothes I’ve ever seen. They’re cashmere jumpsuits and Beckett is a little too big for them but we’re determined to get a few more wears out of them because they’re so nice so we’re just stuffing his little sausage legs into them and he’s bursting out of them but I was like, ‘But this is what Taylor Swift got you so you’re just going to have to learn how to enjoy this.'”
Ferguson joked that the couple are raising their song “gay until he decides he’s straight,” which led to DeGeneres playing some video of the actor reading Beckett a book called The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish, alongside such typical standards as the Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Swift has practically developed a second career of sending super thoughtful, often handmade gifts to celebrity friends. Recent examples include a soft pink blanket and misshapen handmade teddy bear called Ugly Bear for Gigi Hadid and Zayn’s daughter Khai, a hand-embroidered blanket for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s daughter Daisy Dove and a tribute gift donation to Cedars-Sinai in honor of her godson, Jamie King’s son Leo Thames after the little guy’s “major heart surgery.”
