Jon Batiste, Trombone Shorty, Lauren Daigle, and Ledisi will lead the entertainment at the Super Bowl LIX pregame event, taking place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9.
“We are excited to collaborate with this year’s pregame performers to honor the rich musical heritage of New Orleans and the whole state,” said Seth Dudowsky, NFL’s head of music. “The Super Bowl offers a unique opportunity to bring together fans globally, and this year’s artists will showcase the energy, soul, and vibrant sounds of the region, kicking off Super Bowl LIX with an unforgettable celebration.”
Batiste will perform the national anthem, and Trombone Shorty will sing “America the Beautiful” alongside Grammy-winning artist Lauren Daigle. Ledisi will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” All four artists hail from New Orleans, chosen for their representation of the city’s lively musical and cultural traditions.
Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the official 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime show, as announced earlier this year by Roc Nation, Apple Music, and the NFL.
The Super Bowl pregame and the Apple Music Halftime show will also include American Sign Language (ASL) performances. Stephanie Nogueras will perform the “Star-Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful,” Otis Jones IV will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” and Matt Maxey will deliver the ASL performance for the Halftime show.
