Before The Chainsmokers bragged about writing songs with Blink-182, Steve Aoki had the pop-punk trio on wax. “Why Are We So Broken” saw the long-haired producer go back to his rock roots, and now, the Neon Future III single gets its own music video.
It’s quite visually stimulating, as a good-looking man and woman don safety gear and start smashing all kinds of stuff with sledgehammers. They’re bashing toilets and glass jars, windows and old computers. There’s also plenty of performance scenes of Aoki and the band in an abandoned warehouse. Who doesn’t like to watch Travis Barker beast out on drums?
Teenage love makes you wanna break stuff, and you can’t always do that, but you can get some of the aggression out pogoing to this song. Watch the video for “Why Are We So Broken” below, out now via Ultra Music.
