About a month ago in June, Skrillex and his old screamo band From First to Last teased a new single with the producer on the mic. It was called “Surrender,” and the music makers implied they might release the song for free to fans. Now they fulfill the threat, as Skrillex took to Twitter to announce the song will be released later Monday (July 23).
“I don’t wanna make a big deal about it but i made a new song with my old band,” Skrillex tweets. He also shared what is most likely artwork for the single: a digital, pastel lipstick applicator with cloud hearts coming from its top.
Fans first got a taste of the new tune during From First to Last’s surprise performance at Emo Night in Los Angeles in late 2017. It sounds as rowdy and catchy as the band ever was, maybe this time with less teenage rage. Check back with Billboard Dance later Monday to hear “Surrender” in full.
