The Royal Mail is rolling out a set of 12 special stamps honoring Sir Paul McCartney, including eight that spotlight album covers that define his career. The stamps will be released on May 28 and will feature a set of eight with the artwork from Macca’s solo albums, from his self-titled 1970 debut to last year’s McCartney III.

The other four stamps are collected on miniature sheets that cover three decades of McCartney’s solo career. “Paul McCartney remains a vital figure at the centre of rock and pop, an artist whose legacy is immense, but whose work continues to generate popular attention and critical acclaim. This dedicated stamp issue is a fitting tribute to one of the UK’s much loved and revered musical icons,” the Royal Mail’s David Gold said in a statement. The Royal Mail has previously honored such fellow British music icons as David Bowie, Elton John, Queen, Pink Floyd and the Beatles.

The stamps will be available in a more than two dozen variations, including a presentation book, a prestige stamp book, a limited-edition medal cover with a plectrum medal struck by the Royal Mint, a framed set, a collector’s sheet and fan sheets dedicated to specific albums.
