SEVENTEEN revealed on Friday (May 9) that they will hold a special performance later this month to commemorate their tenth anniversary as a group. The event will take place on the iconic Jamsugyo Bridge in Seoul, marking the first-ever performance by a K-pop act at this famous South Korean site above the Hangang River.
Scheduled for May 25, the performance will be part of the group’s celebratory “B-DAY PARTY : BURST Stage.”
Fans — known as CARATs — from all over the world will be able to watch the event through a livestream. The outdoor celebration also lines up with the release of SEVENTEEN’s fifth full-length album, Happy Burstday, which is set to drop the very next day, on May 26, through Pledis Entertainment. This new album arrives around two months after the release of Beam, the debut EP by HOSHI x WOOZI, a sub-unit of the group.
In addition, members S.COUPS, JEONGHAN, JOSHUA, JUN, HOSHI, WONWOO, WOOZI, THE 8, MINGYU, DK, SEUNGKWAN, VERNON, and DINO will star in a brand-new global variety show titled NANA bnb with SEVENTEEN. The program, directed by Na Yeong-seok, will follow the group during a three-night, four-day retreat with the producer. Starting June 2, an on-air version of the show will stream in 78 regions and countries including parts of Asia, the U.S., and Europe on platforms like Lemino, KOCOWA+, and Channel K. A longer, uncut version will be available exclusively on Weverse.
Earlier this week, SEVENTEEN also unveiled a trio of concept previews leading up to the Happy Burstday release. These include “NEW ESCAPE,” “NEW MYSELF,” and “NEW BURSTDAY.”
