DJ Snake never stood a chance. Selena Gomez answered, and then quickly declared a decisive, casual victory in the pair’s “Selfish Love” TikTok challenge.
The singer posted her entry in the challenge on Tuesday afternoon (April 6), in which she took a simple, chill spin in a stylist’s chair while wearing grey sweats and a white long-sleeve shirt, with a casual hair flip as her dog looked on from the floor.
“@DJSnake it’s pretty clear who the winner of this challenge is,” she wrote to her collaborator.
Snake gave it a shot, though, with his own earlier challenge clip, in which he started out in an all-white outfit while seated in a chair inside a gold-dipped room and then hopped up in a black outfit after a spin and a glanced in the mirror at his fly look.
The pair recently dropped the hair care-themed video for the song from Gomez’s new bilingual EP, Revelación. The dynamic duo’s second team-up debuted at No. 6 on the Hot Latin Songs survey dated March 20.
“Selfish Love” earned 5 million U.S. clicks on the week ending March 4, according to MRC Data, after its first full tracking week as the song was released March 4 via DJ Snake/Interscope. The bilingual banger is a follow-up to their debut pair-up “Taki Taki,” the 13-week ruler on Hot Latin Songs starting Oct. 13, 2018.
