After P!nk rocked a Biden-Harris t-shirt during a motorcycle ride, husband Carey Hart had a few choice words for commenters who slammed the singer’s choice of political swag.
“Bye Karen,” Hart posted back after P!nk put up the pic in which she accessorizes her support of the Democratic presidential contenders with a helmet and the caption “Take em out for a rip. #jesusmaryandjosephicannotwaittovote.”
The response from the former motocross champ came as some commenters flooded the zone with posts supporting President Trump and lashing out at P!nk for supporting the Democratic team looking to unseat the reality-star-turned-commander-in-chief. Though she’s never shy about sharing her thoughts on things, it was Hart who stepped up to respond this time.
“Trump 2020! Unfollowing… Stick to music and stay away from politics,” the commenter who was dubbed “Karen” by Hart wrote. “Bye Alicia,” they added, a misspelled reference to the singer’s birth name, Alecia Moore. Hart had much more to say, though, when another comment said that Democrats had “destroyed Black lives for decades” and claimed without evidence that former Vice President Biden would “take your husband’s guns.”
That set Hart off on a much more detailed response. “I’ll try to keep this short,” Hart wrote. “Yes Biden has been in politics for 47 years. Reason I am voting for him is because I ‘hope’ he puts together a great team that will do positive things. And that is what most of Trump’s high-profile early [supporters were] planning for him to do. But his narcissism kicked in and away he went.
“Trump retweets white power s*** all the time. Called peaceful protesters animals, and called the racist pieces of s*** in Charlottesville ‘good people.’“[The Second Amendment] is a constitutional right, and no two people (Biden and Beto) can take that away,” he said, referring to former presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke’s calls for more stringent gun control in the wake of yet another string of mass shootings earlier this year. “I for one think there needs to be stricter gun laws, ‘cause guess what? That won’t affect me because I’m a law-abiding citizen.
“Military? Cheeto said that military were losers, made a stink about visiting a military cemetery and called a senator POW survivor [the late Sen. John McCain] a ‘loser’ for getting captured,” Hart said in reference to multiple reports that Trump has denigrated members of the military as well as on-the-record comments from Trump about late prison-of-war McCain. “All while he dodged the draft due to shin splints {a bone spur]. If Trump loves the military vets so much, why has he done next to nothing for them in the last 3.5 years? I for one don’t want to defund the police. But there needs to be a radical recalibration of how they do things.”
Hart wasn’t done, either. While he said “good on Trump” if the President did, as he has claimed, raise salaries for minorities. “I must have missed that movie,” Hart said, heading off any potential posts denigrating Biden by saying, “I’d rather Joe smell my daughter’s hair than Trump grab her by the p****.” To be clear, Hart said time does not heal all wounds for him and he remembers all the “f****d up and [divisive] things Trump has done.”
For the record, Hart said he mostly identifies as a Republican, but Trump will definitely not be getting his vote in the Nov. 3 election because “I can’t back a divisive narcissist.”
