Ari appreciated the kind words from the FOB bassist.
Ariana Grande has gotten high praise for not releasing a by-the-numbers pop album, including from Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz. On Thursday night (Aug. 30), Wentz heaped praise on Grande’s Sweetener, telling the singer that he loves that she “took a left turn and made a strange, interesting pop album. She didn’t have to and I think that kind of makes it mean even more.”

Grande, who performed a moving rendition of “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” at Aretha Franklin’s Detroit funeral on Friday morning (Aug. 31), wrote right back to Wentz, thanking him from the bottom of her “fall out boy worshipping heart.”
