Olivia Rodrigo experienced a significant fall on stage during her concert in Melbourne on October 13, but she quickly reassured fans that she was okay. While performing for her sold-out crowd, the Grammy winner was energetically running across the stage. However, in a video shared by baxterhumeniuk on X, Rodrigo fell through a trap door used for stage entrances and exits. The audience fell silent with concern, but she immediately responded, “Oh my God, that was fun. I’m okay!” as she got back up.
She handled the situation like a pro, laughing it off and continuing with her performance, although the fall appeared quite hard. Thankfully, she remained upbeat about it, even sharing on TikTok that she was fine, commenting, “I am ok, haha,” along with a heart emoji. Fans also joined in on the fun, referencing her song titles, including one that read, “Always one step forward and three steps down.”
It’s reassuring to know that Rodrigo is genuinely okay. Another angle of the fall showed her hitting the stage fairly hard, and it wouldn’t have been surprising if she had wanted to take a break or get checked out. The adrenaline from performing likely helped her shake it off.
The former Disney star has been on her GUTS World Tour since February, which has had its share of challenges. She previously dealt with a wardrobe malfunction when her crop top came undone and another incident where her hair got caught in her microphone. With the tour continuing until March 2025, more mishaps may occur, but it’s clear that Rodrigo is a professional who won’t let anything stop her.
For those who missed out on tickets, Olivia Rodrigo’s concert special will be available on Netflix on October 29. While it’s expected to be smooth sailing, surprises can always happen!
