Normani has all the motivation she needs.
On a busy night for pop releases with Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus dropping new tunes, Normani has taken a massive step in her post-Fifth Harmony career by releasing her debut solo single, “Motivation.”
The track, the followup to Normani’s hit collaboration with Sam Smith, “Dancing With a Stranger,” is accompanied by a music video crammed with nods to classic tunes and looks.
The clip starts with a throwback to a young Normani drawing inspiration from her fave music TV show. Now all grown-up and wearing a top stamped with the year 1999, Normani and a team of dancers throw a party in the streets of Los Angeles. They’re all seriously motivated.
