Muse’s Matt Bellamy took to Instagram on Tuesday (Aug. 28) to tease fans with the band’s upcoming single “The Dark Side.” The Instagram post features Bellamy in a garage practicing the guitar solo for the track. He encourages fans to join in on the fun, telling them to “Make your own accompaniment!” in the caption of the post.
The first news of the band working on “The Dark Side” surfaced when Bellamy and drummer Dominic Howard chatted with Los Angeles’ KROQ radio back in February. “There is actually a track on the album called ‘The Dark Side,’ which is one of our favorite tracks,” said Bellamy. “We’re just working on that at the moment.”
“The Dark Side” will serve as the follow-up to July’s “Something Human” and will be the third single from their highly anticipated eighth album, which is set to release in November of this year.
