Miley Cyrus has released the official trailer for her forthcoming visual album titled Something Beautiful.

The film is described as a “one-of-a-kind cinematic experience” and is scheduled for a limited theatrical release across North America on June 12. It will also premiere globally on June 27 through Trafalgar Releasing and Sony Music Vision.

The world premiere is set to take place at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 6.

Something Beautiful is a collaborative production between Cyrus, XYZ Films, and Panos Cosmatos (“Mandy,” “Beyond The Black Rainbow”), with Sony Music Vision, Columbia Records, and Live Nation also involved. The directing team includes Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter, with cinematography by Benoît Debie.

Cyrus shared her thoughts on the project: “’Something Beautiful’ is my dream project come true — fashion, film and original music coexisting in harmony. My co-creators are all geniuses in their own right: from the masters of sound, Shawn Everett and Alan Meyerson, to one of cinema’s most unique directors, Panos Cosmatos serving as a producer. Each collaborator has used their expertise to make this fantasy a reality.”

The film is being released alongside Cyrus’ new studio album, also titled Something Beautiful, which will be available on May 30 through Columbia Records. The 13-track album includes guest appearances by Naomi Campbell and Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes.

The project is summarized as a “one-of-a-kind pop opera fueled by fantasy, featuring thirteen original new songs from the visual album.”

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar last November, Cyrus described the album by saying, “My idea was making ‘The Wall,’ but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture… It’s a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music.”
