Maroon 5 are prepping the follow-up to their emotional hit single, “Memories,” with a new track entitled “Nobody’s Love.” The band announced on Monday (July 20) that the song will drop at midnight on Thursday (July 23), teasing it with a cryptic technicolor Instagram image of a woman on the beach with a smiley face shining down on her from above.

At press time there was no additional information available about the song, including whether it features longtime bassist Mickey Madden, who recently announced his retirement from the band “for the foreseeable future” after a June arrest tied to allegations of domestic violence.

Last week, M5 announced new routing for their planned 2021 North American tour, which was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is now slated to kick off on July 15 at the Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, Calif.

“Memories,” the lead single from the band’s upcoming, as-yet-unscheduled seventh album, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and made history atop Billboard’s Adult Pop Songs radio airplay radio chart. A spokesperson for the group had not returned a request for additional comment on the song at press time.
