On Saturday (Aug. 18) shock-rocker Marilyn Manson had to cut his Houston, Texas, show short after collapsing early in his set. During his signature cover of The Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This,” Manson was seen falling down before eventually coming to rest on one of the stage monitors. The singer told the crowd that he was suffering from “heat poisoning.”

His co-headliner Rob Zombie also referenced that Manson was not in the best shape and announced to the crowd that the duo would not be performing their recently released cover of the Beatles’ “Helter Skleter” together that evening.

“My dear friend Mr. Manson is feeling under the weather. He’s probably on the bus feeling like crap. I need a partner for the next song so let’s sing it really loud and make him feel better”, Zombie told the crowd.

The Twins of Evil: Second Coming tour is set to continue Monday (Aug. 20) in Denver, CO.

A spokesperson for Manson could not be reached for any additional comment at press time. The joint tour with Zombie has had a couple of hiccups, including an Aug. 7 show at Jones Beach Theater in the New York area that was canceled due to dangerous weather conditions and a July 26 gig that Manson was unable to perform at due to an “unforeseen illness.”
