Mariah Carey Drops ‘Charmbracelet’ Remix Eps

As part of her ongoing 30th anniversary celebration, Mariah Carey released a series of remix EPs features multiple versions of fan favorite songs from her 2002 album Charmbracelet on Friday (Jan. 22). The mini albums feature dozens of fresh takes on tracks including “Through the Rain,” “I Only Wanted, “The One,” “Boy (I Need You)” and her cover of Def Leppard’s “Bringing on the Heartbreak.”

“#MC30 is back with Charmbracelet digital EPs and HD videos!,” MC tweeted. “Yayyyy Charmie..!!! I’ve been told this album is sort of a fan favorite..! ‘Subtle Invitation,’ ‘My Saving Grace,’ ‘Yours,’ ‘The One’ and many others make this album a fave of mine!” She’s not kidding about loving the album, since just “Through the Rain” runs more than an hour with 12 remixes, including the “Hex Hector/Mac Quayle Club Mix,” “Boris & Michi’s Club Mix” and the “Full Intention Dub Mix.”

“The One” gets the five-track resurface, including the “So So Ref Remix,” the “Richard Morel Remix Pink Noise Mix” and the “Widelife Dub,” while “Boy (I Need You)” is expanded to seven versions, including the “Street Remix” with Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Jimmy Jones and Freeway and the “Topnotch L8 Mix” with Cam’ron, DJ Olabean, Theeyazan and P.L.

The Leppard song gets the biggest blowout, with 13 mixes that run more than 80 minutes, including a “Mainstream AC Version,” “Global Soul Club Mix,” a live take and the “Junior Vasquez Extended Mix.”
