Madonna is shutting down “sensationalist” rumors about her coronavirus diagnosis.

The pop icon took to Instagram to share an article commending her for her help donating $1.1 million toward the development of a COVID-19 vaccine. In the caption, she clarified some headlines that implied that she is currently suffering with the disease.

“Im Grateful that I can be a part of supporting Research to Find the cure for Covid -19!!” she wrote, before noting, “I am not currently sick.”

“When you test positive for anti-bodies it means you HAD the virus which I clearly did as I was sick at the end of my tour in Paris over 7 weeks ago along with many other artists in my show but at the time,” she continued. “We all thought we had a very bad flu. Thank God we are all healthy and well now. Hope that clears things up for the band wagon jumpers!! Knowledge is Power!”

Madonna joins a number of other high-profile stars who have opened up about battling the disease, including P!nk, Sara Bareilles, Sam Smith, Charlotte Lawrence, Andrew Watt and more.
