Luis Fonsi & Ozuna Arrive on Hot Latin Songs With ‘Imposible’

Plus, Ruben Blades scores his first Tropical Albums top 10 in nearly six years.
Luis Fonsi scores his 20th top 20 hit on the Hot Latin Songs chart (dated Nov. 3), as his new collaboration with Ozuna, “Imposible,” arrives at No. 11. Ozuna, concurrently, notches his 28th top 20.

The track, which was released on Oct. 19 via Universal Music Latino/UMLE, launches on the list with 5,000 downloads sold, landing at No. 3 on the Latin Digital Song Sales, and 2.5 million streams earned in the week ending Oct. 25, according to Nielsen Music.

“Imposible” also logged 6 million in Latin radio audience in the week ending Oct. 28, bowing at No. 22 on the Latin Airplay chart.

The tune is Fonsi’s 33rd charting song on the Hot Latin Songs overall, which blends airplay, digital sales and streaming activity.

Meanwhile, Ozuna collects his 54th charted title. He now ties with Tejano group Intocable for the fifth-most entries on the tally. They trail Los Tigres del Norte with 66, Daddy Yankee (61), Vicente Fernandez (58) and Luis Miguel (57).

Ruben Blades Debuts: Over on the Tropical Albums chart, Ruben Blades scores his first new top 10 in nearly six years as his new album, Una Noche Con Ruben Blades, recorded live in 2014 in New York City’s Rose Theater, bows at No. 7.

The set, billed to Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Wynton Marsalis and Ruben Blades, released via Jazz At Lincoln Center/ Blue Engine on Oct. 19, earned 1,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Oct. 25.

Blades last logged a top 10 when Todos Vuelven: Live with Seis del Solar spent 15 weeks in the top 10 between Dec. 1, 2012, and May 4, 2013 (it debuted and peaked at No. 6 on Dec. 1, 2012). Since then, he has clocked a trio of top 15 albums with Frente a Frente with Willie Colon in 2013 (No. 15), Son de Panamá with Roberto Delgado and Orquestra in 2015 (No. 11), and Salsero Original in 2016 (No. 11).

Una Noche also enters at No. 39 on Top Latin Albums and No. 5 on Traditional Jazz Albums.
