Demi Lovato is already putting in the work for the new year by getting back into the recording studio, according to her manager Scooter Braun.
“Demi is in the studio,” Braun wrote on Twitter with the suspicious eyes emoji Saturday following the New Year’s Day holiday.
Lovato shared his tweet on her Instagram Story the following day, writing, “*Phone rings – Scooter’s calling* Me: Hey can’t talk in the booth. @Scooterbraun:” on top of her screenshot of his announcement with the sideways laughing emojis.
Lovato had a strong start to 2020 with the debut performance of her single “Anyone” at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards in January. The pop star later performed the national anthem at the Super Bowl LIV in February, which she predicted 10 years earlier. In March, she released the self-love anthem “I Love Me,” which peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.
If history repeats itself, the “Still Have Me” singer could be on track for a stellar start to her 2021. She hasn’t released a full-length album since 2017 with Tell Me You Love Me, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
