Liam Payne forgot he has some hidden gems in his TikTok drafts and decided to post one about his comical reaction to Zayn leaving One Direction.
On Monday (Sept. 6), the former 1D member posted a hilarious video (that currently has more than 18 million views) captioned “POV the meeting after zayn quit.” The clip featured a confused and concerned Payne looking around the room before mouthing the voiceover track, “Are we absolutely sure about what direction we’re going?!”
Zayn left 1D — which also featured Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson — in 2015 before the entire boy band went on an indefinite hiatus the following year.
Payne previously made a joke alluding to Zayn’s exit in another TikTok clip while commenting on Jesy Nelson’s departure from Little Mix late last year.
“Someone Zayn’d out! Which, you know… No, let’s be serious about this,” he declared during a live video. “It’s always sad at this moment in time, when bands get into that sort of thing. And, I mean, having been there myself, I feel like Zayn had left for pretty much the same reasons, actually, in a weird way.”
