Paulina Rubio has signed with United Talent Agency in a move that will anchor the Mexican singer to her music career, in addition to acting, modeling and entrepreneurial projects.
As one of Mexico’s most celebrated recording artists, Rubio has released music in English and Spanish in a span of more than three decades. She has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide, according to Rubio’s official bio.
“La Chica Dorada,” as her fans call her affectionately, has earned seven Billboard Latin Music Awards trophies, including album of the year and seven Grammy nominations, her rep confirmed. “La Chica Dorada,” Rubio has also placed three songs on the Hot 100 chart as well as five on the Hot Latin Songs chart, among other accolades.
Collaborations with hitmakers such as RedOne and Tricky Stewart have been key for Rubio through the years as she grew into an artist with global appeal and fans have stayed loyal.
On television, Rubio was a judge on The X Factor along with Simon Cowell and also powered though on hit shows such as La Voz Mexico and La Voz Kids on Telemundo. Rubio also had a guest role on The CW’s Jane the Virgin. In the branding world, the singer has worked with major names like Banamex, Coca-Cola Light, Proactiv and Wella Koleston.
Rubio is scheduled to release her first new album in seven years in 2018. In May, she debuted the song “Desire (Me Tienes Loquita),” her first single in three years.
