Lana Del Rey warned fans not to dig too deeply into the symbolism of her wearing a sling in an upcoming video, promising that it’s not a prop, but a result of klutzy Lutz. “When you see my second video for this album, don’t think that the fact I’m wearing a cast is symbolic for anything other than thinking I was still a pro figure skater,” LDR wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday (Dec. 27) along with her a picture of her rocking said sling while sitting on the floor flipping through her vinyl collection.

“I wiped out on my beautiful skates before the video even began after a long day of figure eights and jumps in the twilight of the dezert,” she continued. “Anyways my fracture isn’t that bad kind of goes with my new bucket hat. Thanks to my beautiful family for my gifts.” The post included images of LDR holding Joan Baez’s 1975 album Diamonds & Rust and unwrapping a collection of Normal Rockwell magazine covers.

LDR recently provided an update on the completion of her Chemtrails Over the Country Club album, previewing a video for the title track slated to drop on Jan. 11. Back in October, the 35-year-old singer released “Let Me Love You Like a Woman” as the first Chemtrails single. In November, she announced that she would be pushing the project’s release back by 16 weeks due to vinyl delays.
