Lana Del Rey has officially unveiled the full version of “Henry, Come On”, marking the first single from her upcoming 10th studio album, “The Right Person Will Stay,” which is set for release on May 21.
Back in January 2024, Del Rey teased the track by sharing a brief audio clip on Instagram. Just recently, she posted the album’s cover art once again — a soft, ethereal photo of her in a delicate white lace dress, with “Henry, Come On” displayed in the top left corner. She didn’t add a caption this time but did tag collaborators Luke Laird, Drew Erickson, and Dean Reid, along with photographer Neil Krug, makeup artist Tyron Machhausen, and hairstylist Anna Cofone.
Del Rey had first shared news of “The Right Person Will Stay” in November. On Instagram, she wrote: “So grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack, Zach and Drew Erickson amongst others. Happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach starting with Henry. Love Always.”
She’s scheduled to take the stage at Stagecoach on April 25, before heading out on a series of summer shows across the UK and Ireland.
Initially, Lana was expected to release a more country-influenced project titled “Lasso,” but the direction appears to have evolved. Speaking to Vogue Italia, she explained that while the original idea was rooted in country to reflect her new chapter in life, her vision has shifted. “Originally, me and the label were excited because the energy of the music of the album was meant to reflect my new life. Now, I’m not so sure, but I’m usually pretty good with my own timing. I might turn it into something more ‘Southern gothic,’ like it was meant to be from the start, and less country.”
Let me know if you’d like a shortened version too!
