Lady Gaga has arrived in Washington, D.C.

Ahead of the singer/songwriter’s national anthem performance at Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration on Wednesday, Gaga took to Twitter to post a photo of herself under the Capitol Rotunda with a message of “love, not hatred,” calling for a peaceful transfer of power during the ceremony.

“I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans,” Gaga tweeted. “A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance not fear. A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls. Love, from the Capitol.”

Throughout the campaign, Gaga was supportive of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, including speaking at their Pittsburgh drive-in rally the day before the Nov. 3 election.

On Jan. 6, a group of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol to protest the outcome of the presidential election. Security has been heightened in D.C. ahead of Wednesday’s inaugural ceremonies, keeping out anyone not authorized to attend Wednesday’s events. Lady Gaga was also photographed greeting National Guard soldiers as she left the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday (Jan. 19) after rehearsing for her performance of the “Star-Spangled Banner.”
