Lady Gaga shocked her audience in Las Vegas on Saturday night (Jan. 26) when she brought out Bradley Cooper to perform their award-winning (and chart-topping) duet from A Star Is Born, “Shallow.”
At the Park MGM in Las Vegas — where she’s mounting her two residencies, Enigma and Jazz & Piano — Cooper sauntered out from backstage to embrace his co-star and leading lady before grabbing the stool by the microphone. Gaga sank to her knees at his feet, awestruck, and eventually made her way to the piano for her verses and the song’s soaring chorus.
The pop star performed “Shallow” during her Enigma show back in December, but this marks the first time she and Cooper have taken Ally and Jackson Maine’s duet from the silver screen to the stage since the release of the film.
“Shallow” received a 2019 Oscar nomination for best original song, and Lady Gaga and Cooper are nominated for best actress and best actor, respectively. The track has already racked up wins at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards for best song.
