Summertime is here, and Kenzie is ready to “Exhale.” The 16-year-old singer dropped her newest single on Wednesday (June 24), and it’s a TikTok dance sensation waiting to happen.
The breezy tune, featuring vocals from pop superstar Sia, is all about letting go and living your best life. “You need to, you need to exhale / So let everything go / Baby, you in control,” she proclaims in the infectious hook.
The quarantined music video, filmed on an iPhone and directed by her sister Maddie Ziegler, shows Kenzie dancing around the house and swimming in the pool, plus home-shot cameos from Kenzie’s friends like Johnny Orlando, Dove Cameron, Dylan Conrique, Abbi Dicenso, Cameron Field, Charlize Glass, Tati McQuay, Gio Pilla, Sage Rosen, Emily Skinner, Lucas Stadvac and Hayden Summerall.
“Exhale” is Kenzie’s third release with Arista Records since signing with the label in July 2019. The track follows the releases of her singles “Hot” and “Motives.” In November 2018, she released her album Phases, which featured singles “Nothing on Us” and “Wonderful,” written by Sia and Jesse Shatkin.
