Kelly Rowland is ready to cheers with some beer for her latest Bud Light sponsored video showing off her pitch-perfect vocals covering the classic ballpark tune “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”
Bud Light released two new commercials Tuesday (July 21) celebrating the return of Major League Baseball this week as the regular-season schedule kicks back up this Thursday, July 23. The first commercial features everyday sports fans cracking a cold one in the name of the ballgame and singing the reimagined theme, and that’s where Rowland steps up to the plate. Because where there’s a game to watch, there’s a Bud Light — and former Destiny’s Child star — there.
“Take me out to the ballgame/ Take me out to the couch/ Chill with my hubby and just kick back/ Then watch them playbacks with Charles [Barkley] and Shaq / ‘Cause there’s room to toot for the home team/ Or away, we don’t really care/ ‘Cause the sports are finally back/ ‘Cause there’s Bud Light there,” she sings sweetly next to her at-home concession stand of beers in the Twitter clip she posted today.
“Sports are back, and we’re excited to formally welcome fans back from a long hiatus. Bud Light is always aiming to connect to authentic fan celebration moments and while these moments will look a little different, it’s our job to ensure that fans can be fans — even at home,” said Andy Goeler, Vice President of Marketing at Bud Light, in a press release. “We look forward to the upcoming baseball season and are eager for the return of the other professional sports leagues as well.”
