Kelly Clarkson has sold more than 25 million albums and scored three Grammys, but if you can believe it she’s about to release the thing she says is her favorite thing ever. The singer revealed on Thursday night (April 2) that “I Dare You,” due out on April 16, is her “favorite/hardest project that I’ve ever worked on.”
She said she can’t wait to share the song with her fans, offering a pre-save link for the single. No other information was available at press time on the single, which was announced less than a week after the singer crushed a cover of Mariah Carey’s 1990 song “Vanishing” while on lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic (her daily talk show is on hiatus).
She continues to appear on The Voice, which is rolling out episodes taped before TV production went into a freeze because of the novel coronavirus.
Clarkson’s most recent releases include her 2017 Meaning of Life album and the song “Broken & Beautiful” from the 2019 UglyDolls soundtrack.
