Katy Perry is less than a day away from unveiling “Daisies,” the lead single from her upcoming fifth album, and is giving fans a fun way to experience the track’s music video together while social distancing.
“IN 24 HOURS, I want to be crashing your #Daisies Zoom watch parties…Download some backgrounds and send me your party info at http://katy.to/zoomsubmissionTP and I’ll try to buzz through,” the pop star tweeted on Wednesday night (May 13) alongside a number of cute, daisy-inspired wallpapers for the online meeting app.
In a number of photos posted to Twitter, Perry poses playfully in front of each background wearing a strapless red-and-white gingham top and red lipstick, with her hair pulled back in a matching bandana.
“Daisies” marks the American Idol judge’s second release of 2020, following “Never Worn White” — the ballad she used to announce her first pregnancy with fiancé Orlando Bloom — and a string of standalone singles throughout 2019 including “Never Really Over,” “Small Talk” and “Harleys in Hawaii.” Perry’s fifth studio album is scheduled for release Aug. 14 via Capitol Records.
