Katy Perry slipped one more present under the tree on Christmas Eve eve when she dropped a 40-second mini-video for her new holiday classic “Cozy Little Christmas.” “If you can relate to family being around when you’re just trying to create content for the ‘gram,” the singer wrote in a post on Sunday (Dec. 23) to announce the retro-looking clip.
Shot to look like a relic from the 1950s, the shaky, fluttering video finds Perry wearing a flowing, sparkly red floor-length Christmas dress and white cocktail gloves, cat-eye glasses and a sporting a blonde bouffant as she channels an Eisenhower-era bombshell. With a bit of Marilyn Monroe sass thrown into the mix, Perry lip syncs along to the song in front of a tinsel-draped tree and giant nutcracker as she appears to playfully scold a wayward family member interrupting the shoot.
Perry recently scored her first her first top 10 single on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart, where “Cozy Little Christmas” sits at No. 2 on the most recent tally.
