Sometimes Jimmy Kimmel gets celebrities to read mean tweets, and sometimes he gets them to share … text messages from their moms, just in time for Mother’s Day.
The late-night talk show host roped in Katy Perry, Billie Eilish, P!nk, Josh Groban, the Kardashians and more for a “Mom Texts” bit, and the result featured gems like these:
“Feather, teamwork when you are cohabbing makes the dream work. You know dad and mom love you and want the best for you. But in any relationship a man has to take the lead,” Perry’s mom advised her daughter via text. “Even if you only let him think he is, the man is the head but the woman is the neck that turns the head. You just have to do it where he doesn’t think you’re doing it, kind of like turning a sail on a sailboat in the wind. Subtle, but it’ll start to glide. You two should rent a sailboat together and see how it feels. I would do that with you any time.”
Meanwhile, earlier this week Eilish’s mom texted: “You were tired and in a funk today. Go the duck to sleep!!!!!! I hear you, love mom.”
