Kate Bush has announced on Monday (Sept. 10) that she will be publishing her first book.
How to Be Invisible: Selected Lyrics is set to release on Dec. 6 through Faber, and will include a vast collection of lyrics that spans her 40-year career as a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter.
The volume will include an introduction by British novelist, David Mitchell, who also wrote three spoken word sections for Bush’s Before the Dawn performances during her London residency back in 2014.
“For millions around the world Kate is way more than another singer-songwriter: she is a creator of musical companions that travel with you through life,” said Mitchell in a press release. “One paradox about her is that while her lyrics are avowedly idiosyncratic, those same lyrics evoke emotions and sensations that feel universal.”
Faber has yet to disclose which songs will be included in the collection.
