One of the amusing aspects of being a pop star is that fans often show up to concerts with quirky signs. Typically, artists don’t comment on them, but when Justin Timberlake performed at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, he couldn’t resist addressing one particular sign.
With a sly smile, Timberlake asked a woman to hold up her sign for everyone to see. It read: “Got my tix with my divorce $$.” The crowd erupted in cheers as she proudly displayed her sign.
JT couldn’t help but laugh, covering his eyes at one point and asking her name as another fan shouted, “Congratulations, girl!”
“Oh, this one over here said, ‘Congratulations, girl!’” Timberlake said with flair. “I know I’m in Philly right now. That was the most Philly thing I’ve seen in a long time. ‘I ain’t playin’ with these mens,’” he added. “Very sorry… okay, screw him. You’re here now. We’re so happy to have you.”
This concert marked Timberlake’s return to the stage on his Forget Tomorrow world tour after he had to postpone a show at New Jersey’s Prudential Center on October 8 due to an injury that prevented him from performing.
