Demi Lovato’s new album Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over is getting a lot of love from some A-list fans, including Justin Bieber and Sam Smith.

Lovato thanked both of the pop stars for their support on Thursday (April 8) after Bieber, who’s also managed by Scooter Braun, described both the album and the documentary of the same name as “amazing.” “So happy and proud of you,” he wrote on Twitter. Meanwhile, Smith tweeted, “I love you @ddllovato [heart] this album is so beautiful #DancingWithTheDevil.”

Smith and Lovato previously teamed up for “I’m Ready,” which reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 in May 2020. The British pop sensation previously shared in an interview promoting their collaboration why they found her so inspiring within the pop world.

“The thing that I love about her the most is that she lays all her cards out on the table,” Smith told SiriusXM Hits 1’s Morning Mash Up last April. “She’s having a human experience in front of everyone. I think in this pop world that we’re in … we get characters presented to us. She has never been afraid to lean into the uncomfortable when it comes to herself and her story and what she’s gone through.”

The Biebers also sent a stunning bouquet of roses to Lovato with a card that read, “Demi, Congratulations on the release of your new album! It’s absolutely stunning. With love, Justin and Hailey,” which the pop star shared on her Instagram Story.

When she interviewed Bieber on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last March, Lovato not only praised his album Changes and YouTube Originals docuseries Seasons at the time, but she also told him that his history of drug use and mental health issues resonated with her. “We both had similar stories being in the industry really young and then we both had our struggles,” she said. “For me and my experience, like, when I struggled last year, I know I looked at you as an inspiration because you’ve been through this and you’ve come out of the other side. And I really just admire the man that you are today.”

Dinah Jane also shared her love for the album by tweeting, “The Art of Starting Over >>>>” and sharing it on her IG Story with another sweet message. “this album congrats sisss @ddlovato,” the former Fifth Harmony member wrote. “thank you for boldly n bravely sharing your truth. we love youuu D.”

“THANKS MAMA!” Lovato wrote Jane back on her IG Story.
