Get ready to score some concert tickets, Beliebers! Justin Bieber announced today (July 23) that he’s officially kicking off his world tour next summer.
He postponed his entire international jaunt in support of his fifth studio album Changes before its May 14 start date because of the coronavirus pandemic. Now it’s starting on June 2, 2021 at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena, wrapping around the U.S. and his Canadian homeland, before officially calling it a wrap on Aug. 15 at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center.
“I can’t wait to get out there and connect with my fans on this tour,” Bieber said in a statement. “We’ve been through so much this year. More than ever, we’ve come to understand how much we need each other, and how meaningful these moments can really be.”
The redesigned tour production means he won’t be stopping at any stadiums as originally planned, but he will be making 19 new arena stops in New York City, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago and more cities. Supporting artists Kehlani and Jaden Smith will no longer be accompanying Bieber, and new guest acts will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for the new shows will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. local time, which can be found here. One dollar from each ticket purchase will be donated to the Bieber Foundation, which is committed to supporting mental health awareness. A limited number of exclusive VIP packages will also be available, including reserved seated tickets, custom merch, tour memorabilia and more.
