Justin Bieber appears to have given up on his dream of facing off against Tom Cruise in the octagon. But that doesn’t mean the “I Don’t Care” singer is done calling out the Mission Impossible star. After claiming that his MMA dare to the actor was just a joke, Bieber re-upped his one-sided rivalry on Sunday (July 7) while pulling off the viral bottle cap challenge like a champ.
Only before his spin kick, a shirtless Bieber says, “This could be Tom Cruise’s head,” following up by challenging his wife and Cruise in the caption. “I nominate Tom Cruise and Hailey Bieber,” he wrote. The #BottleCapChallenge, spearheaded by MMA fighter Max Holloway, has taken off over the past few weeks, with Diplo, Mariah Carey, John Mayer, Ellie Goulding, Blake Shelton and many others joining in the fun.
Bieber, 25, started a fire last month when he made an out-of-nowhere challenge to Cruise, 56, to get in the MMA octagon for battle. Just a few days later, though, he said he was just kidding, admitting that he doesn’t know Cruise and, besides, the action star would “probably whup my ass in a fight.”
